Steubenville Atlantic 2027
Sending your teen away for a weekend is a big decision. We want families to know what to expect and to feel confident that Steubenville Atlantic is a safe, organized, and welcoming experience.
Steubenville Atlantic brings together hundreds of young people from across Atlantic Canada and beyond for a weekend of dynamic speakers, music, prayer, the Sacraments, small groups, and time together in community.
Steubenville Atlantic is designed for high school students who have completed Grade 8 through graduating Grade 12 in June 2027.
Young people attend as part of a registered group and are accompanied by approved adult chaperones throughout the weekend. All payments and travel arrangements are made through the group leader.
The safety and wellbeing of participants is our top priority.
Registered adult chaperones from each group supervise their youth throughout the conference. Adult leaders and volunteers are required to meet applicable Responsible Ministry requirements, and conference staff are present throughout the weekend to support groups and respond to concerns.
Participants are expected to remain with their group and follow conference, residence, and university policies.
Participants stay in university residence accommodations with their registered group at Dalhousie University and the University of King’s College in Halifax. We are not able to accomodate specific rooming requests.
Youth and adults are housed according to conference policies, and group leaders are responsible for supervising their participants in residence.
Meals are provided throughout the conference in university dining halls.

Encourage your teen to come with an open mind, participate fully, and be ready to meet new people.
For nearly 20 years, young people have come to Steubenville Atlantic with different experiences of faith. Some arrive excited. Some arrive unsure. Some come because a parent, friend, teacher, or youth minister encouraged them to give it a chance.
Our hope is simple: to create a space where every young person is welcomed, known, and given the opportunity to encounter Jesus Christ.
Sometimes, it begins with an invitation.
Franciscan LEAD
Franciscan LEAD is a five-day, Christ-centered, prayer fueled immersion in Catholic principles of Leadership, Evangelization, And Discipleship inspired by the life and witness of St. Francis of Assisi. We first give teens the tools to grow closer in their relationship with Jesus and then give them the essentials for servant leadership and evangelization.
