While you’re in Halifax for Steubenville Atlantic, we invite your group to take some time to experience more of the city. From meaningful service opportunities and historic landmarks to beautiful parks and great local food, Halifax offers many ways for your group to explore together before the conference begins.

This guide highlights a variety of activities organized into four simple categories: Serve, Explore, Rest, and Dine. Whether your group hopes to give back to the local community, learn about Halifax’s history, enjoy the waterfront, or find a place to relax and recharge, these recommendations can help you make the most of your time in the city.

    • Please note that there will not be a Travellers’ Mass this year before the conference begins. Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica has Mass at 12:15.

    • Groups participating in activities around the city on Friday before the conference can arrange Halifax Transit bus passes through Steubenville Atlantic for $1.00 per person.

    • Once the conference begins, we ask that all participants remain on campus for the duration of the event to help ensure a safe and focused experience for everyone.

    • We hope this guide helps your group Serve, Explore, Rest, and Dine while discovering more of Halifax during your visit.
