March 13 Update

Group Leader & Parish Contact Update - March 13, 2026
To: Group Leaders & Parish Contacts
From: Steubenville Atlantic Conference Office

Happy Friday!

Normally a late Friday afternoon email means bad news… but this one is just because I forgot to send it earlier in the week. 😅

As we get closer to the conference weekend, you can expect more frequent updates from our office with helpful reminders and information to help you prepare your group.

Don't forget to register your people!

Some groups have been doing an incredible job filling their spots and spreading the word about Steubenville Atlantic in their parish and community. If you haven’t started promoting yet, now is a great time!

You can find graphics, posters, and promotional materials in our Media Kit here:

Good News: We're Sold Out. Bad News: There is still people on the waitlist.

We’re currently exploring ways to create additional spots for groups this year. The best way for us to estimate how many more beds we may need is for groups to request additional spots through the waitlist.

If your group needs more spaces, please submit your request here:

Register your Priests!

We are always grateful for the priests who take time out of their busy schedules to join us each year. Their presence makes a huge difference for the young people attending the conference.

You can find more information about Priest & Deacon Registration here:

Note: Seminarians do not register as clergy — they can register as chaperones with your group.

If you have a Bishop who is planning on attending, please let me know as soon as you know!

Halifax Discovery Guide - New Activity for Steubenville Atlantic Groups!

Many groups arrive in Halifax earlier in the day on Friday before the conference officially begins. To help you make the most of that time, we’ve created a Halifax Discovery Guide with ideas for things to do around the city before registration and dinner.

You can explore the guide here:

https://www.steubenville.ca/halifax-discovery-guide

One note for this year: we will not be offering the traditional Traveller’s Mass on Friday afternoon. With registration opening and dinner times, we weren’t able to schedule a Mass that worked well for everyone this year.

However, for groups that would still like to attend Mass before the conference begins, weekday Mass is celebrated at 12:15 PM on Fridays at Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica downtown, which is about a 10-minute bus ride from Dalhousie University.

Thanks to our partnership with Halifax Transit, groups participating in Discovery Activities can receive weekend bus passes for just $1 per rider, making it easy to explore the city before the conference begins.

We have lots working in the background that we're not quite ready to share just yet, so stay tuned!
